Michael Woods

Michael has worked as a freelance illustrator, specialising in wildlife and natural history, for over thirty years. He began his career as an artist for the Sunday Times and has since provided illustrations for many major publishers in the UK and America, including Mitchell Beazley, Readers Digest Association, and Marshall Cavendish; National Geographic Book Service and Simon & Schuster among others.

Michael is an expert in ornithology and has carried out his own research into the Evolution of Feathers.

Michael has four grown up children and three grandchildren. He lives in Canterbury with his wife Pamela and their five quails.
